The Real Time Canine II

After spending 2 years writing the Real Time Canine, the adventure continues with The Real Time Canine II. Read along as I look for just the right puppy to continue the experience. After false starts with Tim and Jed, I am currently training young Tam, and Spot, which are both off to a strong start. Please visit the RTC II to read about training sessions as they occur.

Z Faces of Zamora

Besides reveling in the glory of our incredible dogs, the things I love most about dog trialing are the people.

Beautiful Joella

We all possess an overpowering love and appreciation for the working Border Collie Sheepdog, and are drawn together in the most unlikely places to share the joy.

Barbara Spencer, kind lady, good dog

We are a unique group, made up of individuals from all walks of life, varied socio-economic levels, all different ages, skill levels, and talents.

2010 Meeker champs, Suzie Applegate and Buzz

We are small in numbers, but bound tightly by the spark captured through the dogs.

Amanda Milliken and Roz keeping it real

We don't always agree, or even get along sometimes.

David Soppe with his unlikely best friend

But to a person, we are all captivated by the dogs, and keep coming out to watch and learn and enjoy.

Our judge, USBCHA 2010 National Champion, Patrick Shannahan

We drive long distances, expend vast sums on lodging and meals to test our training methods, our breeding programs, and our own handling skills.

Dexter finds the warmest spot
Sometimes the best I can do is not be too dissappionted, but sometimes my preparation is appropriate, the dogs working well, and I find it within me to demonstrate patience and timing and insight.

Dexter, Larry, Joella and Amanda find the 2nd warmest spot

And that's when the magic occurs.
