The Real Time Canine II

After spending 2 years writing the Real Time Canine, the adventure continues with The Real Time Canine II. Read along as I look for just the right puppy to continue the experience. After false starts with Tim and Jed, I am currently training young Tam, and Spot, which are both off to a strong start. Please visit the RTC II to read about training sessions as they occur.

Universal Perversity aka Murphy's Law

The perversity of the universe is only perceived and it refers to the fact that whatever can go wrong, will go wrong. Examples of Murphy's Law are the slice of buttered bread that falls to the floor butter-side down. It is described in a book about mountaineering by Jack Sack as "an ancient mountaineering adage." Seafarers have long held that anything that can go wrong at sea generally does go wrong sooner or later. On the day I took these photos, lots went wrong all at once for the motorist of the lttle silver car shown here. There were 3 cars ahead of him turning from a narrow, 2-lane road onto a small, seldom-used easment road and there were a line of cars behind them and ahead of the driver stopped and waiting. Apparently, this driver did not see the stopped cars and plowed into the last one in line. In grand Murphy's Law fashion, of course the last one in line would have to be the Sheriff!
